Sheetz in Knoxville

Anywhere that sells slushies deserves a star, so I give them 2. But as busy as this place is, you'd think they would add more registers and hire more staff. Their food and drink selection make it a good place to stop on road trips, but the lines are always way too long and Sheetz gas sucks. If you use it on a regular basis, your car exhaust will stink like eggs and no one wants to ride behind you on the highway. And using it even once will cause my older cars to idle high and knock & run rough. If I cant keep my old cars running with sheetz gas, I'm certainly not going to put it in my good vehicle! I never had any issues when using their diesel though.

I just went to the Sheetz in Mebane NC at 1237 Mebane Oaks Road. The young (probably 20’s) male cashier with right above the shoulder length hair, working just now (6:25PM) was so nice and respectful to every customer that came in there. I just want to give him a shout out for doing such a great job. We need more people in the world like him.

Quick place for a bite to eat. I love the mozzarella sticks! They are the best. The frozen hot chocolate is deliciously rich. Lots of snack options, including healthy snacks!!! Sheetz is my favorite place to stop when I am on the road. At this one, I was leaning over to stretch my back, and the staff person refilling the tea containers came over to ask if I was okay. They even have a seating area inside and out. And the gas prices are usually the lowest around, especially with the Sheetz card discount.

I travel frequently and this is without a doubt the nastiest Sheetz I've ever visited. I always stopped here when going through Mebane but that stopped about a year ago because it was so dirty and the service was extremely slow. Stopped last night and nothing has changed. The entire store was dirty. Trash on the floor, countertops sticky and dirty, and as always about 12-15 people waiting in line to pay with only one register open. This is a busy area and it seems like they need more people working to speed up service and clean up the store. The few that were working were nice but overwhelmed. No way I'd order anything to eat as dirty as this store is. Other Sheetz aren't like this.

Went there to cash a lottery scratch off ticket. The cashier went to check the ticket came back and told me the ticket wasn't a winner. I knew something wasn't right with that when the numbers clearly matched. I took the ticket back from him went home to Durham and the store down the street from my house verified that the ticket indeed was a winning ticket!

This place is amazing. Love the employees, in particular, Chanse, Alex, Jake, John, Evan, Shelton, Jason, Leslie, Chelsea and Justin. They are awesome and make the experience amazing. 380 for life!

Day 29: The fbi will never find me, these milkshakes taste tasty, better than burger king on day 15.

I travel a lot and have learned to appreciate a clean restroom. Usually Sheetz is a good bet, but not this time. Dirty stalls and gross sinks. Not the best.

Shout out to Chanse who was killin' it keeping the line moving in this super busy location! Bathrooms need some work but I survived.

Bathrooms were by far the dirtiest I have ever experienced at a Sheetz store. No paper towels in mens room. Floor had obviously not been mopped in some time. Sinks were dirty as well. Employee briefly came in while i was there and swept up 2 small pieces of tissue off the floor and left. Never managed to clean or add paper towels. Wife said women’s rest room was just as bad. 3 stars for having best gas prices on our route home.

Worst sheetz ever. 8 coffee machines and NO COFFEE! What kind of fuel stop don’t keep hot coffee?!?

Love this Sheetz! I eat here a lot! They have great food, depending on what you get. Lines can be long at times, but they do their best to speed it up.

Unsanitary and unattended facilities. It is very bad.

Stopped in here now and this one could give the one in Henderson a run for its money and I don’t mean that in a good way. Garbage overflowing, coffee not fresh, what creamer was in the machine was nasty, and we had to ask for lids because none were out for customers. Icee machine was broken, none of the hot food displays had anything in them and the Bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it opened and one of two sinks didn’t work and same with paper towel holder. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because the French fries were good.

Store is too packed due to poor lay out. Counter is confusing as you have to work your way past paying customers, need to put up barriers like the other stores. Its dark in there could be contributed to lay out. Coffee is always fresh. Regional manager should reassess the store. Its evident the company does not read reviews or take them seriously as google offers the option for them to respond, and there are no responses.

Ordered meatball subs, got them and left. They were cold thru. Awful...

All the bathrooms were out of toilet paper. No paper towels either. Had to tell the staff because there was no way any of the ladies in line could go to the bathroom. Then I went out to find there was no coffee cream or milk available in the self serve coffee area. Check out line was backed up and staff looked like they were running ragged. Very unprofessional and not what expect from Sheetz!

Fairly clean gas station with a larger variety than a lot of gas stations. Similar to a wanes or QT. Some healthier options than most, as well as a service kiosk ordering platform. The hot food we ordered took way too long for an on the go, fast food option. We waited a long time because the attendants made the wrong thing.

2 weekends in a row there kitchen is 100% closed down i cant get food use to never be like that

The latte with double espresso shot was well done. The staff were be bit grumpy. No options for vegetarians except for cheese quesadilla.

This is the worst Sheetz I've ever been too, never going again. They need to learn how to use their phone too, complete idiots over here.

I do like the specialty coffee. Mocha latte is good. I also like the regular special blend coffees as well. I have to admit that I also like some of their made to order menu items.

WARNING: Was carjacked at gun point approx 8:30 am on Thursday 06/09/2016. Police responded quickly once called. The area was well lit and busy. Car was later recovered totaled in Durham, NC.

Place needs to be cleaned better inside the store and around the pumps. Food service was very slow. Air pump outside is always broken. The only upside is the employee's seemed nice to me. But still you can't put lipstick on a pig by being nice.

Overflowing trash cans by all the pumps but everything was well lit and the bath rooms were stocked. Staff was super friendly too. There was a place to eat off to the side inside as well which might be nice if you’re on the road. Nice facility over all (staff included) and well maintained - the trash just needed to be taken out badly.

One of the better gas prices along I-85 going from Durham NC to Greensboro. Use the Sheetz card for an extra 3 cents off. Peak times can be crazy but off hours the gang working there do a pretty good job.

The eating area is disgusting. Don't have a place to sit down and eat if you can't keep up with the rude people who can not throw their trash away.

Always short staffed and 1 line. Petro is always staffed and Clean. Time to go.down an exit.

Everything about this place was filthy!! Have never been to a Sheetz that hasn't been nice and will not return to this one.

Love the build your own burritos. Place could be cleaner .

The manager helped me order a no carb breakfast items. Great service.

Been going here regularly for a couple of years now, but have finally had it. Decided to just spend my time and money at the Pilot/Flying J just 2 exits down. At least there, the pumps consistently work and are open and I'm not looking at a broken carwash. I don't have a problem with Sheetz. I have a problem with THIS Sheetz. Customer service is obviously of no concern at this location. The staff is lifeless at best with a couple of exceptions. The staff at Pilot is also extremely nice and helpful. I never feel like a nuisance there and am treated well.So 1 whole star for cheap gas prices, but the Flying J is consistently the same price or a couple of cents cheaper and the pumps function like they should. At least the staff there values their customers. Sometimes it's the little things and being good to your customer base is no small thing.

This evening a pump malfunctioned and drenched me in gasoline. I get it this was no ones fault, but after waiting 8 minutes for someone to come out to assist me, the gas was dry on my skin and clothes and all they wanted me to do was submit a complaint to the 1-800 #. The customer service was horrible, no apologies, not one offer to help clean me up. The guy arrived with a scrub brush to clean the concrete. Did I mention this was in the middle of a tornado warning and it was lightning and thundering out and I had 3 small kids in the minivan??!!!! My clothes are ruined. I can still smell the gasoline on my body. I am mostly so upset by the lack of concern by the staff and human decency. so I finally talked them into paying for my gas...the dude only put a 1/2 tank full. Hence the review.

I found and turned in money at this location. The cashier was very nonchalant when the money was handed over to her. Most of the time (considering the amount found), the business will take down the founders contact information and notify them in a time period if the found money is not claimed. Not this location. Not only did I email corporate, I also SPOKE to someone in the corporate office who assured me that the manager would contact me. I'm still waiting for that phone call almost a month later. My advice....If you find money at this location....KEEP IT! They don't appreciate honest customers. I will keep the cashier's name out of this post (just to be nice).

The amount of garbage in the parking lot area and around the gas pumps looks like this Sheetz is in a third world country instead of the United States, let alone North Carolina. Even the windshield cleaner compartments between the gas pumps were full of garbage. If this location has a manager, they need to be replaced at the earliest opportunity. The entire establishment is filthy from top to bottom. What a mess!

Got the three cheese Mac n cheese and buffalo boneless hot wings. I’m pregnant and I took one bite out of the wing and none of them were cooked barely at all sauce was so dry. Waisted 10 dollars on Mac n cheese that had no flavor and very gut wrenching wings will never order food from here again.

This has got to be the nastiest store on the outside! Staff isn't that great either!

Men's bathroom needs major help...smells REALLY bad...like it hasn't been cleaned properly in ages. Feel like I need to decontaminate my shoes after stepping in the stall!!

Gas is usually a few cents cheaper, and you can get 3 cents off if you get a MySheetzRewards card. Food is good for a quick bite too.

While the fuel may be cheaper, you pay for it in the long run. They are constantly understaffed, the morning rush generally only has two cashiers and you'll wait 10--15 minutes inline to pay. If you order food, you're really up a creek. You'll be 10-15 to get a sandwich and another 10-15 in line to pay!!! Not a viable option before work on at lunch. The manager is never visible, I'd hide too! The Pilot/flyingJ station one exit down has it together!

Parking lot gets extremely busy during morning and evening rush hours, but is near-deserted if you have an off-hour commute.

Lobe this sheetz! They have the best late night staff, when I leave for work at 3am they start my day off right almost every morning!

Trash cans by pumps overflowing with trash , parking lot was filthy, ordered food for 5 people and orders were all wrong and some were even cold , long line and only one cashier. I understand it’s a busy location , but you need to staff according or find new management.

Doesn't enforce masks or social distancing as required by law, employees do not wear masks properly. Don't go here if you value your health

The inside is always nice and clean, bathrooms are great and they play music through the speakers! Prices for convenience items are fair, and they even have some stuff like emergency gas gallons. 3 stars because the hot food is horrible. But they charge like they're a 5 star cuisine. If the quality of the food doesn't matter to you, then this place is a decent place to have a stop on a road trip.
